Trane introduces its improved Trane Optimus helical rotary water cooler. The Adaptive Frequency Drive adjusts the motor speed based on the need to reduce energy consumption and cost.
The Optimus chiller has cooling capacity of between 150 and 430 tons, the water-cooled system offers up to 39% higher energy efficiency than the standards required by ASHRAE 90.1. It can also control the variation in water temperature within 0.5°F (0.3°C). This level of accuracy allows the chiller to manage industrial or low-temperature cooling and humidity in critical applications.
The cooler can produce temperatures up to 10°F (-12°C) for rapid cooling applications. When operating in heat recovery mode, Optimus generates ice water temperatures of up to 114°F (45.6°C) which can reheat air in variable air volume boxes, preheat air for conditioners, and be used in snow-melting processes.
Designed for easy installation, the cooler can enter through average 72" x 80" double doors. Its screw-on construction fits through the smaller entrances, making it ideal for tight spaces and remodels.
