Johnson Controls' Metasys 9.0 building automation solution now features two IP/Ethernet-based BACnet controllers and a user interface that makes it easier to locate important information and solve problems, while reducing costs when using Ethernet networks.
Because the two new controllers communicate over Ethernet networks, they support higher network performance and bandwidth, also allowing for easier integration as well as enabling the BAS network for the future with Ethernet cabling.
Additionally, the controllers are certified in BTL as BACnet Advanced Application Controllers (B-AAC), include a real-time clock for internal programming, alarms, and support star and daisy network cabling topologies.
For its part, the improved user interface includes a Network Build feature, which provides access to all components of the Metasys solution for a better browsing experience. The Building Network view requires no configuration, allowing you to finish an installation more quickly.
