Froztec
The plate heat exchanger consists of a package of corrugated metal plates with sockets for the passage of the two fluids between which the heat exchange takes place.
The plate assembly is mounted between a fixed frame plate and a removable pressure plate, and is held tight by bolts. The plates incorporate joints that seal the periphery and direct fluids through alternating channels. The number of plates depends on the flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop and temperature program.
The corrugation of the plates favors the turbulence of the fluid and helps the plates to resist the differential pressure. The heat exchange plates and pressure plate are suspended on an upper guide bar and are supported by a lower guide bar. Both bars are fixed to a support column. The connections are always located on the fixed plate of the frame unless one or both fluids require more than one step, in which case they are also located on the movable pressure plate.
