The new 4300, vertical line with slit coupling, and 4302, double-arm with slit coupling, 4302 series of variable speed smart pumps (IVS) have sizes from 1.5hp to 75hp and can be controlled by building automation systems or Armstrong's integrated pumping system. Armstrong's IVS pump is also offered with the sensorless option, which enables capital, installation and energy savings – it does not require installing a differential pressure sensor. The sensorless IVS incorporates a variable frequency controller (VFD), which makes the unit compact. The VFD comes pre-programmed from the factory to meet the demands of CVAC systems, but can also be adjusted on site. The sensorless option is embedded in the IVS's variable speed controller, saving energy and extending the life of the pump and motor bearings.
