The Q9 was designed for a variety of commercial torque applications, such as fans and pumps for VAV systems, cooling towers and pumps. It is offered in 460 V, 1 up to 100 HP and 230 V, 1 up to 60 HP, and is now available on the market. It has an overload rate of 100% continuous and 110% for one minute. Flexible damper control prevents the drive from operating with the dampers closed, while the Low Output Disable function forces the drive to develop zero speed if it operates at its lower limit frequency for a predefined period of time. The Q9's quick search function allows the drive to detect speed and direction, and then adjust to a spinning motor in the event of a power outage. It communicates with the BACnet protocol, approved by ASHRAE, and contains a submenu for quick control configuration.
