Colombian singer Juanes, our ecologist of the week, is well known for his activism activities for humanitarian, social and also environmental causes.
Since his beginnings in music, Juanes has been concerned with being a voice to raise awareness about the problems that concern our world, he has been an advocate for peace, the eradication of antipersonnel mines and the environment.
As part of his environmental activities he has participated in several concerts and presentations in favor of the conservation of the environment, such as a concert for young Mexican university students, the Live Ecuador concert series and a concert in conjunction with Alejandro Sanz as part of the campaign "Give a break to the planet". In addition, the singer was an honorary witness of the signing of the agreement between the government of the Federal District and the Ministry of the Environment and the Intercontinental University, to name this academic campus as the first green university in this city.
