The candidate of the PP to the Presidency of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Astrid Pérez, has proposed to elaborate an Energy Plan on the island, which includes a short, medium and long term planning, both of the demand and the distribution of the energy.
The 'popular' include in their electoral program a "determined and future" commitment to energy saving and efficiency, betting on the use of renewable energies and their technological development, as reported by the PP in a press release.
"Lanzarote and La Graciosa, due to their characteristics, must be in the leading group in the world in the development and research of clean energies, since the trade winds and the sun that we have, practically all year round, greatly facilitates the use of energies such as wind, solar or photovoltaic", Perez highlighted during his visit to La Graciosa.
Therefore, he trusts that during the next legislature he can start the "specific and pioneering" project for La Graciosa, approved in the Senate at the request of the PP and with which it is intended to achieve a "completely sustainable" island from the energy point of view, which can be fully self-sufficient with clean energy.
"This project will be a magnificent opportunity for La Graciosa, not only from the environmental point of view, but also economically and touristically," he said.
He also pointed out the need to promote a training plan for young people and unemployed, as well as the creation of a one-stop shop to streamline administrative procedures and a Tourist Office to inform, as well as serve visitors. (EUROPA PRESS)
