Denmark is known to be the world leader in Aeolian energy, the government recently reported that 20% of the energy used by the entire country comes from renewables (an impressive figure) and that they are investing 0.5% of their gross domestic product every year in these energies.
The objective of the country is to be able to emancipate itself from the consumption of oil in its entirety by the year 2050, it seems a very distant figure, but in reality it is only 40 years away. Most of the country's energy need will come from wind energy and biomass.
The government also claims that it will save a lot of money on its way to renewables with a perfectly well-thought-out plan, and they assure that they will make public a report with the strategy they will carry out next November in case any other country wants to follow suit.
