This power plant will have General Electric Jenbacher technology, consists of three gas engines, each with three Megawatts (Mw) of capacity. Posco-Mexico invested 265 million dollars in the steel production plant (with a capacity of 400,000 tons of galvanized steel sheet for the automotive sector), which included the construction of the self-consumption power plant.
In our country the only company that can distribute electricity is the Federal Electricity Commission. However, the law provides for the granting of permits for the production of private energy through self-sufficiency, cogeneration and independent energy production schemes.
