International. In India, a 15-year-old boy developed a cooling system that works by using human or animal force to maintain the temperature of drugs and vaccines without using energy.
The system was invented by Anurudh Ganesan, who used a bicycle to test the efficiency of the mechanism after about 200 hours of testing. The project is included among the 20 finalists of the World Science Fair organized by Google.
The mechanism created by the young man hopes to save the lives of thousands of people in a country where according to UN data, in seven years it will be the most populous in the world, surpassing China, and where in 2013 1.5 million children died for not having received treatments in time and not having had effective vaccines due to failures in the conservation of the temperature of the drugs.
