Argentina. A plant of 2,500m2 covered for the storage of medicines will be enabled in Puerto Tirol, in the province of Chaco.
The facilities, which will be in charge of the Correo Argentino company, will have the necessary technology for the maintenance of stocks and a team of professionals trained in the handling of pharmacological products.
According to Sergio Serrano, head of the plant, it is estimated that in about six months the project will be finished.
"The plant will have about 10,000 positions to store medicines, it will have a controlled temperature, a specific cold room for medicines that require special storage, it will have docks for loading and unloading at the level, an administrative area fully connected with online information in the Ministry of Health on the movements of medicines," Serrano explained.
Both for the construction of the plant and for the administration of the same it will be necessary to work with professionals and experts in cold chain issues, refrigeration and operation of cold rooms, in relation to the handling of pharmacological products.
"We are going to ensure quality throughout the process within the plant and during the distribution stage by means of transport to the different locations, we must guarantee that the drug is in perfect conditions of consumption or application," said Sergio Serrano.
