USA. High oil prices not only negatively hurt the price of gasoline, but will impact those who use oil and propane during the winter, according to information provided by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
The high price index, which almost brings a barrel of crude to $100, will continue to affect oil and gasoline prices and their prices will remain "high and volatile" throughout 2008, the agency said.
The harshness of these prices will affect the pockets of those who needed propane during the winter, with a 33 percent increase in their payment accounts. And in households the increase in prices will be 20 percent; while those who use natural gas in their heating will only spend on average 6.5 percent more compared to last year.
