Laboratory Methods of Testing Air Circulating Fans for Rating and Certification" ). This standard establishes methods that standardize the laboratory evaluation of air in fans to determine their performance in terms of power and that have certification and guarantee purposes.
This standard can be used as a basis for evaluating air fan heads, ceiling fans, tabletop fans, portable coolers, or any other device in which air is used as the main gas. Vacuum cleaners, hoods and compressors, as well as positive displacement machines and positive pressure fans are not included within this standard.
