International. 80% of executives in Latin America consider sustainability as a relevant and priority factor in the economic and infrastructure development of a country.
This was revealed by the first survey conducted on this aspect by the analyst firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), which had the opinion of 205 executives from 18 countries in the region, such as Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Bolivia.
Another survey of the survey showed that 49% of the people surveyed said they had already incorporated sustainability as part of their core strategy, while 13% said that the issue is of importance in the company or 6% said it is important for some activities.
On the other hand, 71% of respondents said that in the country they represent it is necessary to have a strategy to be competitive, while 26% say that this is not yet a requirement, but that it will be in the future.
In statements published by the portal portafolio.co, Marcelo Iezzi, leader of the Sustainable Development practice at PwC Argentina, said that "it is interesting that companies not only consider sustainability important, but also half of them have already incorporated it into the core strategy of their businesses."
