Brazil. The Southern Brazilian Association of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation (Asbrav) assured that the works and investments made for the last World Cup left important legacies for the air conditioning and refrigeration sector.
The association ensures that the works are not only in the stadiums, but are in various sectors such as infrastructure and commerce that designed the highest volume of business with this event.
A study by the Institute of Economic Research Foundation (FIPE) estimates that the financial impact will reach US$13,475 million to GDP.
The president of Asbrav, Luiz Afonso Dias, recalls that the construction of stadiums in the regions where football is incipient has generated many criticisms from those responsible for the organization of the World Cup, however, attention must be given to the works that benefit society.
"Although there are criticisms, it is important to think about the positive, or the use that will be available after the World Cup, such as hotel chains and airports," dias said.
