Spain. The HVAC/R sector, including manufacturers and installers in that country, reported business volumes of about 3,040 million euros and generated 16,700 jobs during 2012.
Compared to 2010, the HVAC market has contracted by 30%, the furniture crisis is one of the most important factors that have influenced the turnover of products, added to the current economic situation in Spain.
The air conditioning and heating segments invoiced 500 and 760 million euros in the previous year and exports worth 100 million and 200 million, respectively.
For its part, the cold sector reported sales worth 660 million euros, and of these, a total of 60 million are due to exports.
