United States. Ashrae announced that its next High Performance Buildings Conference will be held on April 7-8, 2014 in San Francisco, California.
Built on the foundation of the 2012 High Performance Buildings Conference and the 2009 Energy Net-Zero Conference, the following aims to advance the industry's efforts to achieve a true environment in high-performance construction.
"The Conference offers a unique opportunity for dialogue among attendees to facilitate understanding of the current quality of the indoor environment and energy savings and efforts to share best practices for achieving high-performance buildings," said Kent Peterson, president of this conference.
New thematic areas include water efficiency, building occupant behaviour, new construction technologies and indoor environmental quality. In addition, there is a greater emphasis on lighting/natural lighting and building coverage.
