Argentina. Around 250 people participated in the American Congress of Technologies in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Cataar 2012) which was recently held in the city of Buenos Aires.
The meeting included plenary lectures, a seminar on refrigeration facilities, a round table on Retrofitting, technical-commercial sessions and a showroom of companies that presented the new technologies of the sector.
During the congress, the Argentine Cold Association launched its new certification program, aimed at installers and operators of commercial refrigeration systems, who must pass an exam to achieve the respective diploma.
In addition to local participation, Cataar 2012 had visitors from Spain, Panama, Uruguay, Paraguay, Japan and the United States, the latter country was also represented by the president of Ashrae, Eng. Thomas E. Watson, who offered the conference "Technologies and application of refrigerants".
