Paraguay. A total of 43 new technicians belonging to the refrigeration sector received the certification for labor competencies that seeks to comply with the commitments of this country with the Montreal Protocol on the reduction in the consumption, production and commercialization of substances that deplete the ozone layer.
The certified technicians join the 33 workers who had already obtained their degree last December, in compliance with Labor Standard 49 001 2011 that talks about the administration of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
The Secretariat of the Environment (Seam), in addition to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) lead the Plan for the Elimination of Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (ODS) that seeks to update professionals on good practices in the use of gases.
This certification was supported by the Paraguayan Chamber of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Mechanical Ventilation (Caparev).
