Canada. The 2008 Vancouver Island Business Excellence Awards, presented at business examiner magazine's IX annual ceremony, place Reliable Controls as best-in-class in manufacturing, according to four judges chosen from the local industry community, namely: Amrit Manhas, information analyst, Bureau of Economic Development of the City of Nanaimo; Moira Jenkins, Vice President of Commercial Banking, Island North RBC Royal Bank; Kathy Lachman, head of business development at the Cowichan Region Economic Development Commission, and Dr Pedro Marquez, dean of the faculty of management at Royal Roads University.
The award was received by Roland Laird and Vince Palmer, president and vice president of operations, respectively.
