To help them identify potential risks, the Infrared Heater Safety Council (IRSC) has issued a free checklist, available on irsafetycouncil.org, which aims to encourage the safe use of infrared heating equipment in commercial and industrial applications.
The list gives inspectors easy access to all the information needed to ensure that equipment installation and maintenance is carried out in a safe manner. The checklist is part of a comprehensive brochure describing the types of infrared heaters, their applications, safety codes and standards, fuel-free spaces, information on appropriate gas and ventilation connections, appropriate signage and other important safety standards.
