International . Energy management specialist Schneider Electric announced a partnership with the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI), a source of hospitality education, to offer a consolidated Schneider Electric Energy University curriculum to its members.
This represents the first of the Energy University's corporate partnerships, which has offered energy education to the global community since June 2009. This University has more than 30,000 registered users from more than 120 countries and 50 courses in its curriculum.
Schneider clarified that the courses will serve as credits for recertification in four of the professional degrees issued by the organization: CHA, CLM, CEOE and CMM.
"Energy management is essential to the profitability and sustainability of today's hosting operations. Schneider Electric, as a member of the Energy and Environment Committee of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, is the ideal resource to provide hospitality professionals with the energy management knowledge needed to keep their operations profitable and sustainable," said Robert L. Steele III, CHA President, and Chief Operating Officer of AHLEI.
