The new center will develop and test compressors, chillers and other CVAC technologies to reduce the energy consumption and carbon footprint of the buildings where they will be used. It will also allow the Daikin Group and McQuay International, its subsidiary since 2006, to enhance the strengths of both companies and accelerate the development of applied products that benefit the environment, energy consumption, innovation, leadership and customer comfort.
The center includes six test cells, in 4,600 m2, and a worldwide range of electrical voltages/frequencies, capacities to test systems up to 1,800 tons and procedures to evaluate environmental conditions of temperature and humidity.
